Why fix it? literally every horrible shitty site redesign is the result of wanting to have a singular unified interface for mobile and desktop with ads on both. the other options is to use something like amp, specific mobile sites, or something like what twitter does where they basically intentionally break the website for mobile users and suggest you go download the app instead. Each of them have their benefits and drawbacks.
