Anyway, I've said before I'm against this. Still am, and if I wasn't positive I could rely on Republicans to block such plans in Congress anyway, Bernie, Warren, and others' pushes for massive loan forgiveness would keep me from voting for them.

Allow loans to be refinanced to a lower interest rate. Give options to perform community service or such to donate some volunteer time in return for a payment towards the debt. Fine.

But no outright forgiveness. No one made these people take out these massive loans. Other people either went to cheaper in-state or community colleges and had to deal w/ having a less prestigious degree, or worked their asses off to be responsible and pay the loans off by living extremely frugally, or were so poor or disadvantaged that they never even went to college and now are expected to pay for the wealthier people who did go.
It's appalling.
