Based on the manga version of Confession, it's a three part motive. First, self-destruction, for Yasu to bury the truth of their existence for good. Second, destruction of the Ushiromiya family for the monstrous acts that created Yasu. Third, to create the opportunity for someone (Battler) to understand and stop them. Without Battler's return, the bomb probably still happens, but Yasu's obsession with creating a mystery to be solved is a desire to appeal to him. Without him, there would be no mysterious incident and no forgeries, just a tragic murder-suicide. --- Just killing time until the world ends. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
