Yep, it was very bad and had thousands of injuries but the actual death toll for the gas attacks was 13, 1 indirectly after 14 years of hospitalization.

The worst case before this one was the guy who stabbed elderly people in a care home who killed 19 and injured 26 in 2016 but the casualties, both for deaths and injuries, were less than here.

(Now that I look at it, 33 is actually one more worse than the death toll from those two combined. )


Really depends on how you define 'bad'. While the subway attacks killed less people, there were a LOT of injured people and sarin can cause long term health issues.
