| Drakeryn 07/20/19 11:57:33 AM #110: | ExThaNemesis posted... like I disagree w the decision but don't feel the need to argue about it one way or another despite the decision going mostly against my ideology honestly I don't think the ideological aspect is that important disclaimer: insofar as "ideology" matters, I guess this lines up with my ideology because I think it's sweet to see more female action heroes. it's also obviously a big marketing stunt (1) to generate buzz like this topic and (2) because a random new franchise starring a random female action hero wouldn't get nearly as much attention. but the really important thing is, is it a good movie? if it's good, then it's good. if it sucks, then that sucks. I get being skeptical of the premise but once the movie comes out, it's either going to stand or fall on its own merits as a movie, not based on ideology --- another place and time, without a great divide, and we could be flying deadly high ...
