As a side note, the original pitch for Watchmen was for a group of Archie Comics superheroes. When that didn't pan out, the pitch was reworked for Blue Beetle, Captain Atom and a host of other recently-acquired Charlton characters DC purchased. It's crazy to think how the most well-known graphic novel of all time could have been completely different. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
