He was actually in the 2018 bracket, listed under his real name, Ren Amamiya. I am considering his appearance in CBX as Ren Amamiya a different entity from Joker. His school uniformed 'normal' appearance was used in his picture, and not the Joker persona (heh) he is actually known for. And his name of Ren Amamiya has only been used in 1 game so far - Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight, which was not even out in NA at the time of CBX. Even if that isn't enough, you can consider it a one-time exception to the rule if only because I think it will be very interesting to rate Joker after getting into Smash.
