By a rather anticlimactic 18-11 margin, Cuphead has emerged victorious. Perhaps this was in the cards from the moment Cuphead doubled Dead Cells as the lower seed in their match. Later, Cuphead beat Obra Dinn to stamp its finals spot after the latter tripled its Round 3 opponent, a game that had won two contentious upset victories. It's just surprising that the best the seemingly stacked top half could muster ultimately fell short of quite a few bottom half games. On that note, I'll post some (LOL) X-Stats soon.

Congratulations are also in order to malyg, whose prediction prevailed by one point despite mustering a mere 72/192 possible points and 32/64 correct picks (the second lowest of all predictions).

Now, where do we go from here? I do plan to run a second bout of Best Indie Game Ever eventually, but not as an annualized contest a la Most Quotable.
