Maybe in certain contexts with certain lasers, but I don't think you can definitively say there was literally no way to do it with some other method He was on Joe Rogan recently and he was REAL shaky on backing it up, like he had zero actual knowledge on the subject and just defaulted to "well the expert I consulted on this said so, I'd have to check what we talked about with him to speak on it more", in which case why is this one expert he talked to so credible and definitive? You just believe that guy was 100% right and put it in your show?
