Does it look fine? Yes.

But does it realistically improve anything in any way? No.

Does it seem like a massive waste of time they spent working on when they could have addressed actual issues that could have improved the site? Yes.

Does it feel like yet another pointless change made to ape off the most superficial aspects of sites like Reddit and Twitter, because those are popular with "the kids" and no one worth caring about has given a single fuck about GameFAQs in about a decade? Fuck yes.

The issue is that they come across like people who understand that there's a problem, but they can't understand what that problem is, so they keep flailing around and keep changing minor things that do nothing to attract new users while simultaneously annoy what users they have left.

Sure, this change is "fine", and at least this time they were clever enough to allow users to roll back to the old system in their preferences (something they don't always do when stupidly changing things), but the way things were was also "fine" - so why waste time trying to fix something that wasn't broken? Especially when they could be fixing something that is?

The real answer is, they just do this shit because it's easy to implement, and it helps them justify keeping their jobs for another few months. The actual worthwhile changes they should be making would take way too much time, effort, and resources, so they have zero effort in bothering to do those things.
