The preparations for battle just finish before sunrise, and someone points out to the hills. The horses of the silver-and-black army can be seen coming up to the horizon. They'll surely be able to rush the village within minutes! Yuusha and his team rally the villagers, and are ready with weapons. The horses run downhill, and the roar of the silver-and-black soldiers echoes out. Yuusha's team keeps the villagers from losing their nerve, because they have something planned. The tree line forces the horses to come in only a few at a time instead of the wave they were earlier. And this allows for the first line of defense to work, as Sakkaku hops tree to tree to dump buckets of poison on the soldiers! This poison is actually more an acid, and it corrodes armor and burns skin! The soldiers and horses writhe in pain, and it causes a traffic jam in the middle. The soldiers coming up are blocked, and those who had already gotten past are now alone and are easily dealt with by the front line villagers. The silver-and-black soldiers stuck behind the traffic jam hop off their horses to make their way on foot, but that leaves them prey to more of Sakkaku's tricks, like smoke bombs and throwing knives. "<Kill that shinobi!>" the general shouts as he spots Sakkaku falling back to the village. His soldiers push their way through over their comrades but do come up against the front line villagers. Sakkaku fights off a few soldiers, helping the villagers get easy strikes on them at the same time. There are casualties on both sides, but the real progress is in the silver-and-black soldiers getting further into the village. "<Fall back!>" Kumomaru shouts. Sakaku and the villagers hurry back behind the wooden barriers they made, and then those barriers are brought together to make a wall. Kumomaru and the men then lift the wooden barriers and pushes them forward! They're a wooden juggernaut that runs over and skewers the silver-and-black soldiers stuck between them and their fallen comrades. Now the silver-and-black forces are forced out of the forest and into the field. The villagers stay at the edge of the trees, where they have the advantage. But now the soldiers stay in the fields, where they'd have the advantage. "Yuusha!" the general shouts. "<It seems we have come to a stalemate. Perhaps we should settle this, so that I can kill you again!>" "<Well then, how can I refuse?>" Yuusha says. The barrier opens only just enough for Yuusha to squeeze through. The general has his men stand down, and the two meet in the middle of the field. Yuusha's team watches closely to make sure none of the general's men do anything. "Well now how is she supposed to die?" Raven asks. "Like I said, she'll sacrifice herself somehow," you say. The general circles with Yuusha, much like the beginning of the movie.
