Mana
When I first started FFX a few years ago, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the characters. My only awareness of Meg Ryan and his crew were through memes, contests, Mercenaries, and various other discussions. I was taken in by this world and their concerns, and how the group coalesced and grew with each other. The battle system is my favorite in the Final Fantasy series, the music is often rated number one for very good reason, and despite being a nightmare to complete in full still has plenty of side content to have kept me entertained and interested for about the same amount of time as the main story.

MSG
FFX was actually my very first full-fledged RPG, and the world- and character-building completely blew me away. This was hands-down my absolute favorite game for years. Then I played other RPG's and realized it's...... well, still special, but not nearly as ground-breaking as I originally thought. But I'll never forget the dozens of hours I spent gaming the system in Blitz.
