STEAM BATTLE #2- FFX: Had some control issues, like, uh, skipping the opening cutscene >_> Just got a hair past the sphere grid tutorial. (twice, because somebody thought it a good idea to put "do you wanna see the tutorial again?" in Al Bhed) Nearly died on Rikku's introduction because I didn't wanna waste Grenades <_<

STEAM BATTLE #7- Aviary Attorney: I had only a vague idea what I was supposed to be doing, which is one of several drawbacks to this format lol. As a result (probably) I was woefully unprepared to save not-Edgeworth, and am now with the rebels under duress. It seems that this game has branching paths, which is a lot cooler than just game overing if you screw up! ...But not very encouraging if you screw up repeatedly, lol.

THE VERDICT: I'm interested in both, but not in love with either. ...I think I'll give it to Aviary. FFX would be a lot easier to pick back up later than AA, and I sense I'm getting close to the end of AA anyway. Plus it's easier to control and (presumably) way shorter.

STEAM BATTLE #3- Endless Legend: Got me a bad case of the one more turns! About to plop down my second city, as my little infrastructure factory runs unopposed so far. Making good quest progress as well. It's like I picked Easy difficulty or something! >_>

STEAM BATTLE #6- Disgaea 2: Decided to just press on after snagging Ash and Marona, as I THINK they are the only guest characters left I know. Onward to tutorials, I guess!

THE VERDICT: ....This didn't get any easier, as I could've easily spent the whole night playing either game. It's gotta come down to some nitpicky detail, but I'm not even sure who has a leg up there. Endless has some less than ideal loading times, while Disgaea has some control wonkiness. Disgaea wins on aesthetics, gameplay is a tough one to call, Endless takes the convenience factor by not being a zillion-hour JRPG....y'know what, I think I'm going Disgaea here. I'd like to renew my interest in the franchise, and it has a story whereas Endless doesn't.
