Yeah, should've clarified that as far as I'm aware Montana has no good candidates for statewide elections besides Bullock (And Tester if you want to count him but uh lol)
Is there anything technically stopping one senator from a state from running for the other seat? Like obviously they couldn't actually have both seats at once, but say they won and then vacated their old seat, triggering a special election?

I know it would be extremely dumb, but as Trump has shown there was a lot of stuff that people didn't think needed to be spelled out before that actually did...!


I don't think so. I'm unaware of anything stopping one person from holding 2 Senate seats at the same time either. Or even all the Senate seats it they owned houses in all 50 states. That would really give new meaning to the phrase, "I am the Senate."
