| FL81 08/18/19 2:55:21 AM #9: | Cooking Caves (World 4) Far Eastern Romantica War Preparation Oh hey, I still have Cooking Caves bookmarked from back when I first heard it during a guessing game. This was actually one of my favorite GG discoveries! Let's hope the rest of the soundtrack to come is as good. I do love how Predestined Fate starts out with those low tone channels, really good match! Both of these tracks in match #2 are very good, but are both missing an extra something keeping them from being truly great. For A-to-Z, it's that this is way too short and I feel like the electric guitars and violins here could do with using a cleaner sound. Still, as I've said before, I prefer this to Sunshine Coastline. Far Eastern Romantica is another one of those generic trance songs I've sung my praises for just yesterday. I should point out that the main melody here very strongly reminds me of a specific theme song for an anime I've watched ;>_>. I kinda wish this had a little extra melodic section, since this kinda relies a bit too heavily on its main motif (the one that sounds like the anime song), but this is otherwise very good. Relistening to both of these a couple times, settling on FER. The sound design in A-to-Z sounds too fake for what this is going for, and Ys can (and has) done better when it comes to heavy metal + violin songs. Oh hi Snail's House. I remember a couple years back when their stuff would always inexplicably show up in my YouTube recommended feed. Sadly this does a bunch of modern EDM things I don't like. War Preparation is okay for what it is, but it's not particularly special. Not as much a fan of this match as the other two. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
