Give him 2 mana leftover and the opponent has a weapon, he'll probably offer you Acidic Swamp Ooze now; The Weapon Removal was supposed to work that way already, there were just bugs involved. He knows that he should get rid of 0 attack weapons now; There were a bunch of cards that were not offered in the appropriate situation, like Holy Fire, Avenging Wrath, Bloodsail Corsair; There's quite a few cards that are fixed that will get offered now when the time is right.
