Wonder why Rhea supports the noble/crest system anyway. I have to think that a large part of her story in Golden Deer is a lie, because why would Seiros endorse a system of nobility based on the Crests and the Ten Heroes if they're all villains and the Crests are her dead relatives?
Wait I thought Seiros invented crests.
Golden Deer story basically says
that the crests are all from enemies of the goddess. I rationalized it for myself along the lines of, the crests were too widespread for the church to remove from Fodlan without causing a huge uprising, so they incorporated the crests into their own mythos in order to avoid killing tons of people while also placing the church as "above" the nobility.
