#231:

Yeah, from what I've seen, the main script (i.e. mandatory scenes) is pretty good. I know there's some major mistakes elsewhere (Bahamut's speech at the beginning of the battle with him immediately comes to mind), and I obviously haven't analyzed the entire script for errors, but it's super bizarre to find it here. Kinda like if you were translating Hamlet, and decided to leave the To Be or Not To Be speech to a rank amateur.

Anywho, as for the speech itself, because It Is Awesome:

"...The stench. The reek of you sordid fools. Since ancient times we sorceresses have dwelt within fantasies -- fantasies you yourselves created. You clothed us in fearsome garb and set us to perform cruel rituals that hexed and slew good, innocent folk. You crafted us as horrors whose merciless magics scorched your verdant fields and froze your warmest hearths... Stupid, all of it.

Now that you learn the sorceress that terrified your fantasies allies with Galbadia, you sigh with relief? Which one of us, I wonder, is the dreamer layering fantasy upon fantasy?

(this is the part where edea goes stabby)

Reality isn't so kind. Not in the slightest.

So then, you fools, all of you! You have but one choice: to flee within your self-made fantasies! And in that world of fantasy I will dance on for you -- dance for all eternity as the fear-begetting sorceress! You and I, together, will craft that final fantasy, in which life and death are both a sweet dream. Long live the sorceress and her fantasy! Long live her servant Galbadia!"
