One thing that's kind of bothering me is how the motives in this case are considerably more forced than in DR1. Case 2-1 was caused by Nagito, who apparently has more info than most, bringing chaos to an otherwise peaceful situation. 2-2 and 2-3 were caused by strategic reveals of specific memories by Monokuma. It's like the bad guys are taking a more active approach at influencing the cast to kill each other, rather than wait and prove their human instincts will do the job. This serves to balance the fact this cast seems to have achieved unity a lot more easily than DR1's one, yet that unity doesn't matter because at any point, Monokuma can trigger a memory reveal that will turn someone into a killer. Not sure if this is a better system, I think DR1 felt more natural.
