The only reason they werent prescribed before was that there werent many ways to notice issues with vision until the kid got older and started showing issues with behavior or learning based on their poor vision. Luckily now we have methods to catch it early and thats why there are so many videos nowadays of babies getting glasses put on them for the first time and they absolutely light up grinning because theyre seeing the world in detail finally.
