You need to make your case based on the facts as they are or nothing we do matters. "The other side does it" is just whataboutism and we need to hold ourselves to actual standards. Most cops that plant evidence probably think they're doing the right thing too. We can't falsify evidence and, if we are aware the evidence is falsified, we can't ignore that just to get to the ending we want. Perhaps if we can't make our argument with actual facts then we don't have an actual argument at all. (None of this is a criticism on what is going on with Ukraine, btw.
