The big question will be: Will anyone come? In today's retail landscape, consumers prefer their Iphones and smartphones and can do without shopping in store without leaving the couch as Amazon has morphed into the biggest online retailerin the world Traffic in malls have declined 10% since it's rise in the 90s and even though a quarter of shopping malls will close by 2022, this mall was still built..infact, only NINE have been built since 2015 The mall is expected to draw 45-50 million visitors a year as entertainment will account for more than half of its space including a BUNNY FIELD and aviary as well as a doggy daycare and luxury wing where shopperes can sit and drink CHAMPAGNE and sample caviar In the opening day, roughly 3000 were invited as it was still a work in progress before it opens in the Spring of 2020 but most of the attractions were already built besides the ski slope and waterpark which should be done by the end of this year Givoanni Scolari who lives nearby has a 7 y/o and grandchildrern who said "this is going to be a draw" Don Ghermezian, the CEO of American Dream and Canada's Triple Five realized what was happening to the retail landscape and had to make a bigger statement with this despite the massive price tag as he expects to surpas sales at both Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall in Canada, the largest in North America Jason Goldberg, the chief commerce strategy said this will either sink or swim as its tough to get a lot of attention when it's next to a bigger amusement park..Manhattan but that it could work to entice families to get to come here but it will also have to abide by blue laws meaning retail will be closed on SUNDAYS even though restaurants and theme parks are open Will you go to this mall? The "American Dream" - Don - Spent 5 billion smackers for this Mall of America - 3rd biggest mall in NA West Edmonton Mall- 1st biggest mall in NA --- 2019 will likely be the last year for random news.. ...
