4. Krile Mayer Baldesion

Also known as Cara and Kururu, Krile Mayer Baldesion is another person with a striking name who plays a role as a playable character in the hit 1992 video game Final Fantasy V for the Super Famicom Entertainment System. Krile Mayer Baldesion wears peach eyeshadow which vividly reflects her bright and cheery personality, I guess. She's Galuf's granddaughter which connects her to a more interesting character by proxy. She's probably grateful for that.

Although Krile Mayer Baldesion shows up somewhat early into the story, it isn't until the death of her grandfather and superior officer that she truly comes into her own. This is because she jacks all his stuff and basically cosplays as him in the job class system for the rest of the game (except sadly she doesn't actually wear the various job costumes the same way he did which would have been a lot funnier but what do I know I wasn't even five years old yet when this game was made). The first time players are introduced to Krile Mayer Baldesion, she shows up in Galuf's memories at a place called the Ronka Ruins. The Ronka Ruins have a cool name.

Unfortunately for Krile Mayer Baldesion, she's only somewhat cooler than Lenna. I give her the edge because she has plot abilities that, while going completely unexplained, make her niftier by design. Krile can, like, talk to moogles. She can also talk to dragons, which is why I am convinced that Lenna kicked trees behind the scenes every day of their adventure in jealous angst. One of those trees was probably Exdeath which likely contributed to the party's misery. Krile Mayer Baldesion can also see ghosts, again for no discernible reason but again who cares, the point is this makes her vaguely shrimpteresting.
