Paranoia Agent is an episodic, vaguely-connected series of segments about messed-up people getting hit with a baseball bat. This is going to be a short writeup because it's impossible to explain what makes Paranoia Agent good without removing a large amount of the enjoyment of watching it - you're not even sure what Paranoia Agent is about until most of the way through the series, and connecting all the disparate weirdness together to create a cohesive whole of a story is extremely satisfying. It's a show that you can appreciate both from an intellectual standpoint and a "hey, that was entertaining" way.
