Topic	I've genuinely never seen this much bad PR for a game before (Pokemon)

I acquired the game when it came out and had a blast with it. It wasn't that it was a bad game so much as it didn't live up to what it was being planned to be. The scale was meant to be much, much larger, meaning the project went through many delays before EA decided to scale it back to something far less ambitious. In practice, the fact that it resulted in an enjoyable game (that actually came out) means that that was actually probably a reasonable decision for them to make, but at the time it was treated as just another example of EA's corporate meddling diluting the quality of a studio's output after buying them out (and, true to form, Maxis wasn't around for too much longer after Spore). --- This is my signature.
