That episode was like, WA levels of "we're gonna demonstrate how the majority is made up entirely of awful fucksticks...and then vote out the morally-righteous players instead". I disagree. It was a well told two-episode story about the dangers of mob justice and witch hunts, while very delicately, and intelligently weighing all sides of the issues, while neither condemning justice, nor making accusations, but looking at the full story. It might have been dissatisfying for the people who wanted to see Dan burn before seeing his side of things, or the full story (which they've hidden from viewers this season, until this episode). And seeing everything come out in a way that actually didn't favor the witch hunt was honestly surprising from Survivor, especially in recent season. I just found it to be a very interesting episode, and I can see why this was a two-episode. This was kind of the biggest twist the show has ever had, from a non-gameplay point of view. --- This is my island. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
