I Fell From Grace (PC)

Every once in awhile, a game comes up with a great idea: A somewhat unsettling tale of greed and acceptance. Somewhat "Open" Stages; zones opening to more zones with interactions and dialogue. And a multi-path system that assures replayability just to get "the real good ending".

And then, every once in awhile, a game will have the stupidest design choices: Loading Screens (in an adventuregame. Every single transition is 30 seconds of loading). Awkward plot points that require trial and error to either find out how to move the plot, or how to get the good ending. No Savescumming; which would be nice if the weird progression wasn't so outright repetitive. And a "wait, that was a good??" ending, which I get it makes sense for that character at that moment in time however the hoops necessary to jump through just to get that ending is beyond impossible unless you used a guide.

So all in all; excellent execution mired by poor design choices.
