Final Gift: It's cute. Would probably be better if I had any idea what she was saying (I know from the title that she was trying to give an introduction of some sort before being interupted by the song?) or had any clue what was with the lamb.

Bloodywood - Ari Ari: I think I'll go up to a 7 for this one. I don't like it nearly as much as Endurant and don't think the traditional aspects meshed as well with the metal this time--parts of it almost felt like a rave.dj result with two songs going at once.

...Mind you, I still like that sort of thing.

Bloodywood - Machi Bhasad: 7 too. It's interesting that the song was created for Beyond Good & Evil 2--kinda nice to know the band is popular enough to get into a big game like that, interesting to hear a song from the game so far in advance of its release (if it ever releases), and I think I like how the song is still a typical Bloodywood song and they didn't try to make it video game-y or anything weird.

Also tried a couple of their covers of pop songs, wasn't really a fan. Obviously not bad, but trading everything unique about the band to become a second-rate Jonathan Young doesn't really work. These gag covers are frankly beneath them. ...To be fair, I'm reasonably certain these were made before they became famous and it's not really fair to compare to them, but it doesn't make the covers any more interesting.

At the end of my last ranking topic, I quickly went over a list of songs that I would have nominated if I had to try nominating a full set of songs for a similar "anything goes" ranking topic. No real reason, but it gave me a chance to talk about songs I liked for a couple posts... I planned on doing that again here, but it turns out, finding 15 songs that I actively want to discuss is actually a lot harder than I thought it was.

So for now, just two songs that I've been listening to lately.

1.Name: The Model
Origin: WWF Royal Rumble (Genesis)

Score: 9

This song has become my newest obsession and I don't really know why. I've never had an opinion on Rick Martel and can't name a single match he was in, besides the infamous blindfold match with Jake Roberts. Didn't remember what his theme music sounded like and didn't remember that he was ever playable in anything. I was just listening to the Genesis soundtrack to laugh about Papa Shango's existence and was quite surprised to see The Model at all. So, it's not likely nostalgia has any part in my sudden interest in the song.

And yet, this may be my favorite Genesis song of all time? It's definitely my favorite as of this exact moment, at any rate. I love the song, I just can't figure out why.

2.Name: Blade Man (MM3 PC) theme
Origin: Kackebango
Link:

Score: 7-ish.

Actually not sure what to put for name or origin. It's a theme created for an 8-bit Deathmatch mod adding the PC Robot Masters to the game, but to the best of my knowledge, the songs were never actually used anywhere. Making this sort-of a fan song for an unofficial Robot Master from a game that didn't have any music.

I wish the themes had been uploaded separately instead of being in one giant video like this. It makes it harder to share any one song from the video than it needs to be.

Either way, I just wanted to say that this song is better than the theme given to MM10's unrelated Blade Man.
