Breakout Player of the Year

Raiders QB Andy Dalton

A second round pick of the Raiders in S8, he was tossed in and out of the lineup throughout his career as a backup to the likes of A.J. Feely, Tavaris Jackson, and Kirby Freeman before becoming the unquestioned starter this season. He responded by increasing his passer rating for the fifth season in a row, exploding all the way to 8th in the league at 84.1 with career bests in passing yards (2698, 1726 previous best), passing TDs (19, 9 previous best) and completion % (61.8).

Lightning HB Kestahn Moore

Fenny's final first round pick he made himself was Moore. After backing up Larry Johnson and Romance Taylor, he bounced around the league for a few seasons before landing his first starting gig in Anaheim this season at the age of 31. He didn't start until Week 3, but he ultimately finished second in the league in rushing yards (1571), tied for second in receptions out of the backfield (50), and third in receiving yards out of the backfield (426). All three figures account for more than half of his career totals up this point.

Seahawks OT Reilly Reiff

A Top-10 pick of the Seahawks back in S10, his rookie season was wiped out due to injury, and he played sparingly in his sophomore season. Being named the starter in his third season after former RT Ryan Diem went to a division rival in the Rams. Reiff showed why we was the first OL taken in the draft by recording the third-most blocks in the league (74) while allowing just six sacks.

Colts DT Dan Williams

The Colts already had an incumbent in Ian Scott, a former franchise draft pick of theirs who had started 157 games in the previous 11 seasons for the team, accruing 82 sacks in the process. When the former third rounder Williams won the starting spot opposite Darnell Dockett instead of Scott, he had large shoes to fill. He responded with the first double-digit sack season by a Colts DT in three seasons and was the only one to record a FF or FR (3 total).

Lions MLB Bryan Vinson

A former 6th round pick of the 49ers, he was an immediate starter in the league, but he was never "the guy." He always had Korey Norton and Rolando McClain next to him in a 3-4 D. After an offseason trade to a 4-3 D in the Lions, he was not just "the guy" because there were no other starting MLBs, he was the guy because the Lions D was undergoing a huge rebuilding project and had a lot of young, unproven players that needed Vinson to step up even more. While the Lions D didn't exactly make a big step forward, Vinson certainly did to the tune of a 177 tackle (2nd best in league, 88 more than his previous best), multiple sacks and INTs, and more than doubling his FF total entering the season (3 career before, 4 this season).
