I remember Krampus getting particular big around 2012, and the first I had heard of him at all was in The League episode, A Krampus Carol, from the same year. Now there's like a bazillion straight-to-video Krampus films and the one particularly excellent one too from 2015. That should absolutely be part of your yearly Christmas viewing. Michael Dougherty really needs to cap off his holiday trilogy, but his Godzilla film this year was pretty good so I'll give him a pass... for now!
