I agree with Dragoquest XI not being a remaster

Game is a year old at best and this is simply the "switch" version with added content.

Is Witcher 3 a "remaster" Because its on switch? What about Mortal Kombat XI?

Then again the GOTY polls this year have been a disaster for Allen. NO planning whatsoever. Instead of looking at what Gamefaqs fav games could be he went on Metacritic and put in games that noone on this site cares about.

The whole point of a Final GOTY poll is to have the best top games on it. instead were going to have a bunch of indie/VR games that noone gives a shit about.

No other gaming site that does user GOTY awards does this. They straight up let every user nominate their very own GOTY game or do a poll but with more extensive list of games.

If Gamefaqs did that with every user nominating their top 5 and it was a weighted list. It would be a much more accurate representation of this sites GOTY and even though i thought Kingdom Hearts 3 sucked balls, it would have a ton of support on this site.

When the final GOTY poll shows up its going to have a random Star wars VR game on it.

Also the Remaster catagory is a joke. What if for arguments sakes one day a Melee Remaster wins GOTY? because no other site would allow a remaster to be eligible for a GOTY award. Thats just not fair on the newer games released this year. A full remake i can pass though like RE2 because its essentially a brand new game with and older story. LA is pshing it a bit but the game looks completely different and has QoL gameplay changes. But thats as far as it goes.
