This reminds me when Rockstar put their whole back catalogue on Steam.
The problem was when they added Max Payne 2. That game was developed with a nasty DRM that required the correct disc in your disc reader. Rockstar tried to patch it away, but it ended up nesting itself into Windows and impossible to remove.
So Rockstar downloaded a pirate hack that bypassed the DRM and released it on Steam.
Which was discovered and spread around the web as wildfire.
Rockstars respons?
They replaced the whole game with an earlier buggier beta that was made before they added the DRM.
