Yeah I've always found it insane that health care doesn't cover dental or vision so you either have to rely on your work's plan (the quality of which of course varies from place to place) or pay for a third-party plan, which again can vary depending on who you go with. I'm lucky enough to have dental through my employer, which is Delta Dental, which has usually been good but the fact that they deemed this unneeded pissed me off extremely about a month ago when I got the bill a few days before Christmas. The fucking root wasn't completely cleared due to the shape of my jaw and I needed to go to a specialist to get the thing cracked back open and cleared because an infection had sprung up through no fault of my own(according to both my dentist and the specialist these things sometimes happen with the shape of human teeth and fuck, maybe so, the hell do I know different?) and they had the audacity to basically claim it was my fault for not being able to clean up under a crowned root canal.
