When I was a DJ, one station I worked for had special promotions and events for female musicians/bands. It was my male boss's idea. When I was listening to rap, I got to hear a variety of rap artists, including many female artists from my friends. They didn't care who it was as long as it was good. Country has has some great lady stars throughout its history. And many guys aren't ashamed to say they're Dolly or Reba fans.
