The income taxes are a little high here, but the sales tax is the worst. But then, sales tax in general is the worst. Greenwich sucks and Hartford is owned by insurance companies(I've never been to Stamford). It brings an otherwise mediocre state down. Bridgeport and Waterbury are open wounds and nobody cares to do much more than slap a bandaid on them occasionally. New Haven is pretty good though. Not exciting, mind you, but it's chock full of good museums and lots of great restaurants. The best thing about the state is that you can't throw a rock without hitting great pizza, at least in New Haven county. Oh, and there's some good hiking around, but I assume most states have better. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
