This sounds like rage and revenge. Thus, excessive. Its like shooting a fleeing suspect in back...If your life is no longer in danger and you're able to get to safety, you do that. You don't continue stabbing the guy until he's dead...And I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say it didn't take 17 stabs to simply immobilize the guy so....Yeah fighting for survival is the same as shooting someone in the back... fuck off --- ...
