Monster Hunter World VS Bravely Default Flying Fairy

Monster Hunter World won with 57.95% of the total votes. Correct Prediction Percentage was 87.66%

So we have an action RPG against a turn based RPG here. But here is the thing MHW is really popular especially the last game. And these games are damn loved by the fans even though they are grindy and you have to keep slaying the same monsters over and over. Still a ton of stuff to do there. As for BD it is basically an old school FF game with just a different name. Seriously. It is loved but since it got released on a portable console you can't expect much. I have played it though along with the sequel and yeah it is amazing. So many job combinations and such.

As for the match. It went as expected even with the same percentage that people predicted. So I guess that
means that MHW is weak. I mean barelly beating a portable JRPG? Only on this site. The prediction percentage was huge too, I mean the 2nd highest so far. Huge name recognition I guess? Also Bravely Default 2 is getting released this year so that means that it has to be doing well in sales and in reception. And even though it says 2
it is actually the 3rd game. Strange I know.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice VS Ni No Kuni Wrath Of The White Witch

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice won with 58.57% of the total votes. Correct Prediction Percentage was 77.3%

So we have Sekiro here which is a damn hard game for the hardcore people vs a JRPG that nobody cares about now. And it did bad. Man we do love our JRPG's on this site. And it isn't about name here, everyone knows about Sekiro especially with all these get good memes. Ninokuni had a remaster recently but still I don't think anyone cares enough for the series. I think the 2nd game did bad in sales too.

So for the match. Nothing to say. Sekiro just doesn't have power and ni no kuni is even weaker. So there you go. I guess we don't care for either game here.

The Walking Dead A Telltale Games Series VS Bastion

Bastion won with 52.25% of the total votes. Correct Prediction Percentage was 33.31%

An upset on the 2nd day! This contest is good! But in all seriousness this was a big suprise. EVERYONE(on board 8 at least)got this match wrong. And it makes sense. Everyone and their zombie grandmas knows about WD because of the TV series. And when WD Telltale came out it won so many awards that I lost count. It revived the Adventure genre too. As for Bastion it was good when it came out but now it has been surpassed by many games.

So the match. Why did this happen? Well the WD Telltale is very weak. That is. Even though 4 games have come out and the last game came out in the previous year too people just don't care I guess? No way Bastion is that popular. I mean it came out 9 years ago and it had no sequel either. The crew got this match completely wrong too and most of this site got this wrong. Look at the correct prediction rate. Only 1 out of 3 managed to get it right. So yeah. Too bad because WD Telltale has an amazing story.

Dragon Quest 11 Echoes Of An Elusive Age VS The Legend Of Heroes Trails In The Sky SC

Dragon Quest 11 Echoes Of An Elusive Age won with 80.67% of the total votes. Correct Prediction Percentage was 90.87%

So we have the grandfater of JRPG's against another JRPG that I don't know anything about. Sorry about that! So for the match. People were expecting around 70% for DQ 11 and it scored more than 80%. So why? Here is the thing. DQ 11 sold like crazy and after more than 30 years FINALLY DQ series is popular with the video game people! DQ games were always popular but just in Japan. They never did good in the West.

But DQ 11 broke the mold. It has shipped around 6.000.000 units so far which is impressive for this series. And any game really. I mean it is a turn based JRPG and these have basically stop coming out. Except the Pokemon series. I played recently DQ 3 on Switch which came out in 1988 by the way and NPC's, monsters, spells, jobs, items and others are the same even after all these years! DQ is as old school as it gets. And we just love it the way it is. I mean you do know what you get when you buy a DQ game. So that means that DQ is strong or Trails is weak? I think a combination of both. Amazing performance of course.
