Mount and blade is a one of a kind game that I recommend everyone at least try. It's sorta like a medieval mercenary captain simulator game with fun combat. However, if you don't have the newly released bannerlord, do yourself a massive favor and download the prophesy of pendor mod for warband. It's basically the sequel to the game. It's SO much better than base warband. It's a total conversion with better balancing, more shit to do, battle continuation, better lore, better gear, better kingdoms, vastly vastly better enemies and a ton of neat features like custuom knighthood orders and legendary spawns. Easily the best mod for any game I've ever seen. It's also somehow MORE stable than the base game.

I played bannerlord for about an hour earlier. The performance leaves something to be desired but the gameplay has been pretty fun. The same tricks I got used to using in warband don't work nearly as well. If I ride into a group of looters with a one handed weapon and swerve right as I swing, they actually just hit me now and I die. The leveling system is really cool too now with focus points and everything being rebalanced to act like proficiencies with perks.
