I don't fear either one having experienced both sort of. In 1972 I was in a bad motorcycle accidentand was clinically dead for about 5 minutes or so I was told by the nurses at the hospital. The next 48 years have been very painful, although less so since my leg amputation in 2017 (long term result of same accident). I am high functioning but am also on oxycodone 24/7 for pain management. I plan on living as long as my body lets me and will enjoy every minute I have left.
