I think as of now the characters don't have enough agency outside of the realm of volleyball for this to reach the absolute top tier of shows. But, the games themselves are extremely exciting to watch, and within the volleyball world they do provide a lot of moments for the characters to shine. Also I like that there's a variety of different teams and styles out there which is always keeping things fresh (or at least it has for 25 episodes anwyays). All in all the show does a fantastic job keeping me on the edge of my seat and excited to see what happens next, which is really all the show needs to do. Also the unsung hero of this show is definitely Takeda-sensei. Just an all around stand-up dude who always tries his best to learn about the sport and who just wants the best for his students. --- Oh woops.
