So I may have started this a few days ago, we'll see how long I go. I'm on Leviathan which looks like nobody else is on, which is fine tbh because I'm usually a solo player type of guy

In terms of main quests I just got the one that lets me use airships to travel outside Gridania. I'm a level 18 Lancer.

You're on the same Data Center so you can play with everyone else (I think, do we have people on Aether/Crystal?). Don't worry about that. All I'll say is please have patience with the game starting out. It really doesn't put its best foot forward, but it all starts finally paying off come Heavensward. Try to take it easy as a sort of 'side-project' kinda game until you start getting close to that point to avoid burnout. It gets a lot of people who try to rush through ARR to get to the good bits.
