Match 5: Marth vs. Lucario

Mystery host: Fire Emblem? Again? Oh well, at least one of those plucky underdog Pokemon is here to root for.

*Marth gets out to an early advantage, but Lucario manages to land some smashes and counters to even things up. Eventually, Lucario lands a forward-smash to send Marth off the screen (Lucario 3-2).*

Mystery co-host: Wow, Pokemon out to an early lead. That never happens!

*Marth grabs a Smash ball immediately after reappearing but misses. Lucario nearly lands a meteor strike but Marth avoids it. Lucario lands a fully charged Aura Sphere and follows it up with an up-air to KO Marth again (Lucario 3-1).*

Mystery host: You cant miss a wide open attack from the back when its right there in front of you. Marth will regret that one.

*Marth finally KOd Lucario by hitting two straight neutral Bs (Lucario 2-1).*

Mystery co-host: Marth may have waited too long to start taking this fight seriously. Underestimate Pokemon at your own peril.

*Marth continues to stay on the offensive and nearly pushes Lucario off the bottom of the screen a couple of times, but Lucario manages to hold on. A Smash ball appears and Lucario KOd Marth in the scuffle trying to break it open (Lucario wins 2-0).*

Mystery host: Lucario wins! Wow, could we see a Cinderella run from Lucario in this tournament?

Mystery co-host: In terms of damage given, it was pretty even, but Lucario was able to land the killing blows when he needed them. Marths peak damage was only 107%.

And that's all for today!
