More people should move to smaller towns. I lived in a town < 100,000 my whole life, except for 2 years that I lived in Toronto. There are advantages to living in a big city, but the negatives far outweigh the positives. The biggest thing for me was the prospect of never owning a house, so when I had an opportunity to take a great job in my hometown, I jumped on it.
What are the negatives outside the cost of living?
