Just really depends on brand and use if anything I'm ready to get a new laptop this year and will back up my stuff In a usb drive though Any laptop that goes past 5-6 years is good. Not saying MacBooks aren't good quality or have bad software support. Quite the opposite. But the price of macbooks aren't competitive and don't justify the specs to me. The price makes them overrated. It's near the opposite of iPhones. There's a reason why MacBooks don't dominate the laptop market You can buy a $300 windows OS laptop and have nearly all the most useful software available to you, along with streaming and web browsing. You can even game competitively with Windows OS laptops with the entry level to highest level cards. There's just much more software support, customization and more affordable price with Windows OS based laptops from multiple different brands vs macbooks. iPads imo are than MacBooks for general use imo and they are cheaper --- Less is more.
