It's essentially a handheld that can be docked, not a console that can be played on the go (like what they were trying to do with the Wii-U).

It's why, when it first came out and they were like "No, it's not a handheld, it's the replacement for the Wii-U, not the 3DS", I was like, "Yeah, calling bullshit on that one."

It's far too big to be portable, meaning it's not much of a handheld. It's even larger than the fucking Gamegear *and* has a worse battery life. It's definitely a console, whether or not it's docked, because you're stuck playing it near it a power source. It's an all-in-one console, basically.
