Even as a progressive, I think progressives overall are more toxic than moderates. That's not to say there aren't toxic moderates who constantly say things about how 'delusional' we are, and how they don't need us. But we're in a position to be more toxic because we are constantly losing. Winners usually aren't toxic because they don't feel the need to lash out. Progressives need to be better, though, because it's turning people off a good cause. Our cause doesn't need to tear people down to build it up. It stands on its own merits. Medicare for All, Higher Education for all who want it, nobody should starve because they can't afford to put food on their table.
