Smack barm - a reference to barm cake, basically a kind of sweet roll made with barm, which is the foam of fermented beer. Pey wet - the local dialect for pea wet, which is the water left behind from mushy peas. Babby's yed - local dialect for steak and kidney pudding. Wigan Kebab - a speciality of that specific area's chip shops; it's a meat and poatato pie inside butter barm cake. --- ''It doesn't matter if we're devils!
