Topic	When did NC17 material start passing as R?

Rob Zombies 2007 Halloween movie is one of my favorite films of all time, and Im shocked that it didnt get an NC17, but seriously, what line do you have to cross? Brutal murder, brutal rape, and simulated sex scenes get an R rating, but what is NC17 now? Can any of you actually prove that this modern R rated stuff isnt classic NC17?
