Not gonna lie... I prefer the vocal version by quite a bit. This version at first I wasn't sure whether it was a violin or a harmonica... But I"m sure it's harmonica because it's obviously that in the EVO version. A lot of stuff is the same, but another difference I don't like is trading in guitar support for low string support. But yeah, I still like this! Music is very slow, emotional and longing. The drum ostinatos are very nice... the soft electronic ones add a lot of emotion to this. The rhythms of the piano and guitar support are great and intesify the feelings further. Great VI7 chord at 1:00! And yay, the fantastic guitar solo is still in this! The major chord ending fits so perfectly....

EVO version: the harmonica here sounds more like what it is like, but now it has awkard vibrato added, not to mention almost all the ornamenting/added notes are awkward too... the performer should have just stayed true to what was on the page, so I'm not sure which harmonica I like more! But that guitar solo is still pristine ike before, gee WHIZ, what a stark difference in quality.

Very melancholy. I did not like Evo's harmonica additon

Whoa, Those rhythmic patterns in the bass/drum/piano are GREAT... Super suspsenful triple-duple meter here with some hemiola as well. Some of the other shoddy quality instruments in the early sections I don't like so much.... But there ARE some good harmonic bits in there that add lots of tension (0:39 - 0:46). But then we get some weird polytonality at 1:26... wow, those otherworldly echoing sounds are awesome. B-flat major vs. D-flat minor or something. Nitfy percussive electronic effects! That's gotta be my favorite part of it.

EVO version: This one's got more of a full orchestral sound to it. I guess that's good because the rinky-dink parts are at a higher quality now, though I think the beginning section is better in the original. But now the alternate tonality in those high electronic effects are more difficult to hear.... booooooo!
