Elder couldn't do it to begin with because ~~they cast on themselves, but all of a sudden he can do it no problem?~~ exactly. I was expecting to find some crazy Lunar Golden Needle on the moon or something. The fact that it was just handwaved instead kind of removes the emotional weight.
